Governor Sanwoolu To Commission Road Projects Across Lagos Today and Tomorrow
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will be handing over some major infrastructure projects that include the commissioning of six arterial roads in Akoka, Bariga, and Gbagada and five major roads in the Ikeja Government Reservation Area (GRA).
These projects are scheduled to be commissioned today, Thursday, January 9, and tomorrow, Friday, January 10, 2025.
Hon. Gbenga Omotoso, the Lagos State Companies for Information and Strategy, in his statement mentioned that the project’s delivery underscores Governor Sanwoolu’s commitment to ensuring the provision of enduring road networks for smoother and easier transportation across Lagos State.
4.7-kilometer road project Will be handed over on Thursday, January 9. The roads include St. Finbarr’s Road, Asani Street, Tijani Ashogbon Street, Jagunmolu Street, Shogbamu Street, and Diya Street, connecting UNILAG Main Gate, Akoka, to Deeper Life Church, Gbagada.
A 6.134-kilometer network will be delivered tomorrow, Friday, January 10. The roads in Ikeja GRA comprise Oba Dosumu Street, Oduduwa Way, Oduduwa Crescent, Sobo Arobiodu, and Sasegbon Street. Improved drainage is part of what the roads contain to address flooding.
The state commissioner for information and strategy also appeals to residents to ensure that the infrastructures are protected, majoring on the focus of Governor Sanwoolu’s administration of road upgrades to improve mobility for Lagos residents.
