Puma And Adidas Circle Super Eagles Over Performance At AFCON 2025 As Nike Deal Nears Expiration

European sportswear big names Puma and Adidas have been said to have displayed strong interest in securing a deal with the Super Eagles of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as its kit sponsorship agreement with Nike nears its expiration.
The two European sportswear giants have been moved by the impressive performances of the Super Eagles in Morocco at the ongoing AFCON 2025.
The deal with Nike, which was first agreed upon with the NFF, was signed in 2018 after it was first signed in 2015, and it is scheduled to expire in the last month of this year. Discussions between the two parties may likely happen after AFCON 2025 relating to an improved agreement.
The current deal sees Nike supplying kits for all Nigerian national teams—men’s, women’s, and youth—and doing direct delivery, as it removes importation and customs burdens from the NFF.
The agreement also provides redesigns of the regular kit for major tournaments, including the Olympic Games and AFCON.
